Hull City v Brentford live: score, updates and line-ups

Hull City 1-1 Brentford at full-time, with McBurnie's first-half penalty - won after Hickey's foul on Iroegbunam - cancelled out by Ouattara's close-range finish from Igor Thiago's assist shortly after the Bees' double substitution. Brentford dominated the second half in terms of possession and shots on target but couldn't find a winner despite late chances through Wilson and others, while Gelhardt had efforts for Hull in stoppage time. A share of the spoils in the end, with Brentford edging the stats across the board but Hull's resilience earning a point.

Brentford have continued to push since drawing level, with Ouattara and Anthony both forcing Tzolakis into saves in the space of a minute as the visitors added to their tally of attempts and shots on target. Hull have had their moments on the break - Belloumi fired over from outside the box - but with both sides making further changes it's Brentford who look the more likely to find a winner as the game heads into its closing stages at 1-1.

Brentford get the leveller their pressure deserved - fresh off the bench, substitutions pay off as Ouattara turns home Igor Thiago's assist from close range to make it 1-1 just two minutes after Anthony and Damsgaard came on.

Brentford have continued to edge the possession and shot counts since the restart, with van den Berg forcing a smart save from Tzolakis early in the half and the Bees winning a string of corners and free-kicks. Hull have had a sniff too, Belloumi seeing a shot blocked from a tight angle, but it's Brentford's three shots on target to Hull's one that best reflects their control without yet finding an equaliser. McBurnie's penalty still separates the sides at 1-0.

Brentford have responded well after going behind, edging possession and forcing several corners as they push for an equaliser before the break. Ouattara had a shot blocked and Schade saw another effort charged down, but Hull's defence - with Herrington and Egan both dealing with the flurry of set-pieces - have stood firm. It's 1-0 to Hull as the sides head towards half-time.

Costly moment for Brentford - Hickey's rash foul on Iroegbunam in the box earns him a yellow and gifts Hull a penalty, which McBurnie tucks away to put the hosts 1-0 up. The Bees need to respond quickly after a bright start.

Brentford have had the brighter openings despite Hull holding more of the ball. Thiago and van den Berg both went close early on, and Hickey forced another save from Tzolakis just after the 10-minute mark. Hull have pushed back through a couple of corners, with Iroegbunam and Belloumi both testing the air and from a free kick, but Kelleher hasn't had to make a save yet as the Bees lead 2-0 on shots on target.
