Brentford Round-Up, Sunday 1st November: Thiago Fires Bees Past Forest to End Winless Run

A good day all round for Brentford, starting with a welcome return to winning ways at the Gtech Community Stadium. Igor Thiago struck in the second half to help the Bees beat Nottingham Forest 2-0, ending a run without a win that had stretched to five matches (BBC Sport).

It wasn't just the first team enjoying success either. Brentford Women also had plenty to celebrate, staying top of the London & South East Regional Premier Division after a big victory, with the win keeping them three points clear at the summit (West London Sport). It was a strong day for west London football more broadly too, with QPR Women also thrashing their opponents in the FA Women's National League Plate (West London Sport).
